Our Journey
Conformance was founded i 2024 by former Nordic financial executives who have built, operated, and been accountable for the very institutions we now serve. We know regulation not as an abstract requirement, but as something that must function under supervisory scrutiny, operational pressure, and board-level responsibility.
Our journey began inside regulated organisations. There, we experienced first-hand how financial regulation, data protection, information security, and governance are too often implemented too late, too mechanically, or too far removed from the business realities they are meant to protect. Too many frameworks. Too many checklists. Too little operational control.
We built Conformance to change that.
At our core, we help organisations operate within regulation – not around it. We believe conformance should strengthen decision-making, enable scale, and create durable trust with regulators, customers, and society. This belief is what also led us to focus early and decisively on compliant use of AI in regulated environments.
All our AI systems are built and operated on sovereign European infrastructure. Data stays in the EU. Models are governed, auditable, and designed for regulatory accountability. This is not a technical preference – it is a regulatory necessity. In a world shaped by GDPR, DORA, the AI Act, and financial supervisory expectations, sovereignty, control, and transparency are non-negotiable.
Our work is grounded in deep regulatory and operational experience. We turn complex legal and supervisory requirements into clear system architectures, usable processes, and governance structures that work in daily operations. Not theoretical models. Not generic templates. But solutions designed to withstand regulatory review, incident scenarios, and real-world use.
